I didn't know they would allow you to take your laptop into the courthouse. The last time I was called they wouldn't even allow cell phones.
I'm using my smartphone to blog with. Actually, I think they will even let you bring a laptop into the courthouse, just obviously you can't use it in the actual courtroom, but you could use it in the juror waiting area.
